Derek Brooks

Derek joined Basildon Operatic Society in 1994 and has appeared in almost every musical, drama and concert production since. He has performed character parts in most of the musical productions and comedy roles in all of the drama productions. Derek loves acting, music, singing and dancing and is also a member of The Aidan Players, a drama group in Leigh-on-Sea, where he has performed in a variety of roles including the dame and the villain in pantomime. He takes a very keen active interest in both groups on their respective committees and is very keen to support and organize social and fund-raising events, etc. Derek considers he is very fortunate to be able to share all of these interests with his wife, Elaine.
