Jane Gillam

Jane first performed with BasOp when she was just aged 9 in ‘Annie Get Your Gun’.  Having been bitten by the ‘stage bug’ she has gone on to perform in many other shows and now teaches singing at Theatretrain in Chelmsford where she was a student before leaving to go on to university.  One of the many highlights of her singing career came when she performed a solo at the Royal Albert Hall with Theatretrain and she is excited about returning there this time as a teacher in their upcoming show.  After leaving university, Jane returned to BasOp for their production of ‘Guys and Dolls’ playing the part of Martha in the mission band.  Having previously played the part of Hodel in 2008 in the Southminster Operatic and Choral Society production of ‘Fiddler on the Roof,’  Jane is thrilled to be back, this time in the part of Tzeitel, Tevye’s oldest daughter.  After the arrival of her beautiful son in January she is looking forward to performing in what has become one of her favourite musicals with such a wonderful cast and production team who have given her so much encouragement in this fabulous show.
