Rose Phillips

Rose attends the Lynn Lee theatre school in Aveley taking classes in ISTD tap, modern, ballet, jazz, drama and singing!
Rose has a love of musical theatre and has performed in many dance recitals as well as playing the roles of Smith in Blitz, Ngana in South Pacific and now Bielke in Fiddler in the roof.
Last year Rose took part in the Gilbert and Sullivan International festival in Harrogate winning the adjudicators special award!
Rose is delighted to join BasOp for this show and is excited to be sharing the stage with her mum!

Millie Gutch

Millie is a keen gymnast and has been attending and competing for South Essex Gymnastics club over the last 4 years. Millie’s favourite apparatus is floor as she gets to perform elements of dance and of course tumbles and flips! She recently placed 1st at the Essex Championships and will soon be competing in the Regional Championships against over 100 other girls.
Last year Millie took part in the Gilbert and Sullivan International festival in Harrogate winning the adjudicators special award!
Millie is looking forward to performing for BasOp for the first time, especially as her cousins and Aunty are there with her too!

Amy Taylor

Amy started performing from an early age going to weekly tap dancing lessons. Her love for the stage really started to grow when she landed the principal role of Katy Brown in Calamity Jane in her first ever musical. Since then she has played many lead parts including Nancy in Oliver! Ann in Half a Sixpence, Scaramouche in We Will Rock You and Fantine in Les Miserables.
After graduating with her BA HONS degree in Musical Theatre, Amy went on to teach as well as perform as part of the Entertainments Team for Park Dean Holidays in Cornwall. Although Amy is enjoying her new career path working for the Autism Reality Experience for Experience Training and Training2Care, she is so excited to be back on the stage where she belongs. This is her first production with BasOp and she would like to dedicate her performance to her family but especially her Mum and Dad, Debbie and John who she wants to thank for their unconditional support.

Stuart Crawley

Stuart started his training at the Italia Conti Academy of theatre Arts and The Royal Academy of Music (London.)  His professional credits have taken him around the world on cruise ships to Summer seasons, TV, radio and films to Cabarets and London’s West End.  Stuart’s infectious personality and love of life has taken him on to performing in his own one man show, featuring songs from the musicals and two successful seasons at the Queens Theatre Hornchurch, next being in August 2017.  With a huge change of career Stuart is now part of a Nursing team at a GP practice in North London and regularly participates in theatre groups in the Essex area recently playing Austin in ‘One o’clock from the House’ for St Peters players in Brentwood and currently teaches singing at the Fit & Funky Dance School in Collier Row, Romford.   Stuart is thrilled to be part of Basildon Operatic Society, one of the highly acclaimed companies in Essex and would like to dedicate his performance to his late parents William and Marguerita who was a huge fan of musical theatre and of course ‘Fiddler on the Roof ’.

Hollie Douglas

Hollie took a part as an orphan in BasOp’s 2013 production of ‘Annie’ and returned the year after to play Gretl in ‘the Sound of Music’. From the age of 2 Hollie studied Ballet, Tap and Modern with the Michelle Meyer School of Dance. She has also performed with Kryptic Streetdance at local events. Hollie has taken an active role in school productions and the choir, who have performed at the O2 Arena.

Luella Tremble

Luella joined BasOp for the 2014 production of ‘the Sound of Music’ when she played the part of Marta, amazingly this was her first time on stage!
Luella is so full of life and thoroughly enjoys singing, dancing and drama plus cheerleading and gymnastics. She has a great sense of humour and loves animals, especially chocolate labradors. Luella started dancing a the age of three and it has become one of her great passions.

Emma King

Emma joined BasOp to play the lead role of Orphan Annie in the 2013 sellout production and then returned the next year to play Brigitta in ‘the Sound of Music. Emma loves drama, singing and dancing and has attended Carmel Thomas Performing Arts School and Choir. She has performed with the Choir in ‘Joseph’, at Disneyland Paris and as part of the Royal Variety Performance 2010. Emma has also enjoyed working on a CD of ‘Joseph’ for use in schools, being part of CD recordings for Dazzle and Poptastic and being part of ‘Jekyll and Hyde the Musical’ during its UK tour. TV credits include Eastenders for the BBC and the Smoke for Sky TV

Aiden Waller

Aidan attended Southend PQA from 2012 and loves performing. He’s enjoyed many lead roles, including a performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End as Tyler in ‘Fright Night’, Charlie in ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’. And with BasOp he played Kurt in ‘the Sound of Music’. At school he performed in a TOWIE themed production of ‘Romeo and Juliet’! He loves singing and has performed many times as a soloist. Aidan has been dancing Latin and Ballroom at the Western Dance Centre sing he was 4 and has been in the top 10 nationals for many years. He is also a very keen drummer.

Kirsty Young

Kirsty is the fourth of six children in the Young household and lives in East Ham. She has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Her High School Chamber Choir at St Martin-in-the-Fields and will sing at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. She has worked towards distinctions in her Grade 5 tap and modern theatre ISTO examinations and has sung with a girl band called Bonita Belles. Kirsty was delighted to be ‘Louisa’ in ‘The Sound of Music’ and embraced her role as another great and exciting adventure.
