Grace O’Leary

Grace joined BasOp to play Marta in ‘the Sound of Music ‘ 2014 she attends the Pauline Quirk Performing Arts Academy every Saturday where she is working towards her grade in production performance. She enjoys playing netball, swimming and represents her school in cross-country and athletics. Her daydreams mainly include meeting Olly Murs!

Lucy Green

Lucy is very excited to be playing Chava in her third production with BasOp.  She previously played Tessie in the 2013 production of Annie and Brigitta in The Sound of Music (2014).  Lucy has loved everything musical for as long as she can remember. She started singing and dancing at a young age. She has performed in the children’s ensemble in the UK tour productions of both “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat” and “Evita” (with Marti Pellow and Madalena Alberto).
Lucy was also a member of the Carmel Thomas Youth Singers and did many concerts and charity events with them. She is never happier than when she is on stage. Lucy continues with regular ballet classes at the Central School of Dance and Drama in Brentwood. She also plays the piano and violin.
She would like to thank BasOp for this opportunity and her family for all their love and support.

Matthew Knight

Matthew played the role of Kurt in ‘the Sound for f Music’ for BasOp in 2014, after a nervous audition he was very excited to hear that he had landed the part as he had not taken part in many shows before In his spare time he likes to play guitar, sing, play football and lots of other sports.

Annie O’Leary

Annie attended the Pauline Quirk Performing Arts Academy where she worked on grade three musical theatre (singing), grade two Trinity (performance arts) exams and grade one for piano. She is currently at St Bernards High School in Westcliff. She has a love ‘The Sound of Music’ and was privileged to take the role of Louisa Basop’s 2014 production. Se enjoys singing, dancing and acting but especially loves musicals!she also took a part in ‘Annie’ with Basop and has taken part in school productions. Some of her other hobbies include athletics, netball and swimming, but her favourite past time is dreaming of a future on a West End stage!

Jenson Power

Jenson Power joined BasOp at age 11 to play the role of Friedrich in ‘the Sound of Music’ he has attended drama clubs at school as well as Ad Astra Theatre School. He was also a student at Beverley Marks Stage School for two years, taking part in all of their productions which included dancing, acting and solo singing. He has sung solo in his schoools’ carol concert. He goes to a voice coach each Saturday and has taken part in singing showcases. In June 2013 He played ‘Britney’ in the production of ‘We Will Rock You’ at the Brentwood Theatre.

Joseph Greenwood

Joseph has enjoyed acting since joining BasOp in 2009 for ‘Carousel’ he then returned in 2014 to play Friedrich, Captain Von Trapp’s eldest child in ‘the Sound of Music’. He has a passion for drama and his ambition is to be an actor. He has performed in productions of ‘Snow White, ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and ‘Oliver’. He has attended LAMDA recently, achieving a merit in his exams. He attended The King John School in Thundersley where he performed as ‘Buttons’ in the shool sell-out production on ‘Cinderella’.

Joe Drury Jnr

Joe jnr. has appeared with BasOp twice playing Enoch Snow jnr in ‘Carousel’ and Rolf Gruber in ‘the Sound of Music’.  He has also appeared in about a dozen or so other productions where his favourite role to date was being cast as Germany’s entry in the production of ‘Eurobeat’. He was thrilled to be able to spend some time working backstage and gain valuable experience on the West End production of ‘Jersey Boys’. Joe is currently studying for a degree in Performing Arts at Winchester University.
